Poet On Drugs are a hardcore independent rap group formed by two long term friends from Corona Queens, N.Y.C. Poverty, and J.A.I. PERA. They originally went by the name "Corona Queens Cartel" paying homage to their Colombian heritage. Rapping together for about 14 years they found their sound and image in the hardcore rap scene and eventually landed on the name "Poet On Drugs" while recording in Pera's home studio in the Bronx.

Eventually they teamed up with Rated R the third and official member of Poet On Drugs. Rated R is not only a member of Poet On Drugs, he's also a solo artist. Representing Central New York, Rated R has an extensive catalog and a collection of worldwide features. He's pure underground Hip-Hop at its finest.
